Mothering Justice members, held an open forum for mother lawmakers, to talk about shared experiences and how to move forward. They were able to relate and discuss life as a mom and how that translates into their professional lives. The issues discussed correlate to some major dilemmas mothers across the state face on a regular basis. Representative Geiss and Representative Santana were in attendance.
During this private event, Mothering Justice was able to do what it does best, make sure mothers are at the decision-making table.
The Mamas’ Brunch comes as the Legislature is discussing the state’s budget, among other issues. The Mothering Justice members reminded lawmakers to ensure that working families are at the forefront of their priorities.
